ventilation controller (kVent) is a controller that guarantees the highest ventilation efficiency, which can be from simple full fresh units to complex air conditioners. whose refrigeration circuit is inside the air conditioner.

kVent software capabilities

This company has produced kVent software with a tree structure for setting up kinds of ventilators under the VIDA brand.  Designing of this software is in such a way that it provides a set of functions along with the required hardware facilities as a solution to the customers. The program provides the customers requirements of a simple full fresh air conditioner to a return air conditioner. (Supply + Return) with wide facilities:

  • Energy recovery
  • Direct connection to humidification (isothermal or adiabatic). Also other peripheral equipment such as motor dampers, control valves, and integration for building unit management (BMS)

Types of  kVent air ventilation controller

The mentioned product includes a basic model called the kVent-100 which manages a single ventilator with a few I/Os. In the model (Advance), which we can use it for larger ventilators with wider peripheral features than the kVent+100 kit. If the number of I/Os is large, user can add up to two expansion cards. The purpose of diversity in hardware is to reduce costs, and the software structure of these two solutions is not much different from each other.

Management and control the dampers is possible as ON/OFF and modulating according to the selected control strategy in the air conditioner. If customer activates the economic mode, the motor control of the dampers will work modulating.

Temperature control

User can select the temperature control strategy in the supply air, the return or the exhaust points of the units, and the room temperature in the settings. Each of these points where the temperature is controlled can be easily selected and adjusted by the user. Accordingly, a sensor suitable for that place is installed in each of the mentioned places and its temperature is monitored instantly. The control system measures the temperature and with the control algorithm (PID), adjusts the temperature in that place. To adjust the sensitivity and performance of the system, it is necessary to adjust the PID parameters to an experienced expert.

Humidity control

There are similar facilities to control the humidity in the supply or in the room of the air conditioner. The operator can control the humidity by adjusting the controller at each of these two points.  After installing the humidity sensor of the desired points, the amount of humidity is measured and compared with the set point. If the humidity level is low, the central control system sends a request to the humidifier (isothermal or adiabatic).  To control the temperature and humidity, a room temperature and humidity module we call it th-Tune is usfull.

Flow control

Airflow control and air quality are also other main functions of air conditioners. For this function,user can create precise control functions and use in the kVent (air ventilation controllers) solution. In the kVent program, there are various functions to control and protect different parts of the fans.

In addition to increasing accuracy in performance, protection of auxiliary and main equipment of the ventilation unit (such as fan and compressor) also causes the efficiency of energy consumption. These functions are in such a way that the user can activate or deactivate them according to his needs. This intelligence in software development makes it able to meet various requirements with a flexible approach.

Maintenance of filters in the kVent air ventilation controller

In the monitoring section of filters for aluminum, bag, or HEPA (for hygienic systems), control and monitor them based on DPT and DPS sensors is possible.

Monitor and calculate the operating hours of fans, valves, compressors, and dampers continuously by the control system is possible.
