v.VentScroll scroll packaged controller kit, basic model

The medium-sized basic scroll-packaged controller controls one compressor per circuit and up to two circuits. It is also able to control the fans of the condensing unit.

The internal program of this product is a user-friendly and selective program under the VIDA brand. This program is suitable for controlling the scroll package.  Also, a complete set of operational functions along with the required hardware facilities are provided to the customers as a solution. This software program can cover all the needs of a scroll package with medium-scale scale cooling power and its peripheral capabilities.

In terms of hardware, this solution provides all the facilities needed to launch compression packages. The necessary facilities for launching and controlling a packaged including software, controller, sensors, and actuators are called solutions. These solutions are provided by KARA RAVESH SABA Company based on the request of the employer and by checking the type of package under the Vida brand name.

The base model of the Scroll Packaged Controller

The packaged solution includes two basic and advanced models.  The medium-sized basic model controls one or two circuits and a compressor in each circuit along with the fans of the condensing unit. The Advanced model is used for larger compression packageds.

This model can control and manage up to three circuits and up to three compressors in each circuit along with the fans of the condensing unit.

The important point in choosing this solution is selectable of fan control settings. This means that the number of steps of each ON/OFF fan group can be selected up to three steps. In this solution, the type of fan control can be set as ON/OFF or gradual (for example, output 0 to 10 volts).  It is also possible to specify that each of the fan groups should come into the circuit step by step at a specific pressure of the refrigerant obtained by the condenser pressure sensor. Other functions such as set point can also be specified and set arbitrarily by a PID control loop for each circuit.

Equipping the basic package controller with a PID control loop

For this purpose, for each circuit, select a driver and an expansion valve with the appropriate size, which independently controls the temperature of the superheat. These types of equipment are designed in such a way that with minimum energy loss, they can quickly bring the superheat temperature to the appropriate set point. Also, compared to other similar systems offered in the market, it is competitive in every way. The advanced technology of manufacturing CAREL control valves allows this operation to be performed with high speed and accuracy. One of the important control functions that can be activated or deactivated is the rotation management of compressors. Such a feature can be selected and activated by the user as two FIFO and LIFO options in the program.

In the air conditioner section of the packaged, it is possible to control a simple Full Fresh air conditioner, as well as a complete air conditioner with a Supply + Return fan, along with a variety of energy recovery systems for both solutions.

The choice of fan control type with CAV, VAV, and ON/OFF strategy can be selected based on customer needs and as an option. Even in the future, based on the user’s needs, if there is enough I/O in the hardware (it is possible to add two expansion modules to increase the I/O), the type of control strategy of different systems can be changed. It means that the capabilities can be expanded or reduced, and adding or removing does not require rewriting the software.

It is possible to manage and control the dampers as ON/OFF and gradually according to the control strategy of the air conditioner. If the Free Cooling function is activated, the motor control of the dampers will be selected intelligently and gradually.

Monitoring of filters in the basic scroll package controller

In the monitoring section of filters for aluminum, bag, and HEPA substrates (for hygienic systems), it is possible to control, monitor, and operate them based on DPT and DPS sensors.

Scheduled notifications

The operating hours of fans, valves, compressors, and dampers are continuously calculated and monitored by the control system and at the specified time determined by the user. It is possible to set an alert for periodic service of this equipment based on the operating hours to announce the need for service as an alert at the appointed time. Before starting up, all active equipment such as fans, valves, and compressors can be activated or deactivated for manual testing (cold test).

Remote supervision and monitoring system

Therefore, in order to use this equipment in the building management system (BMS), these systems can be easily controlled and operated based on pre-defined addresses. Among the extensive features of VIDA is a monitoring system that can be used ready (or so-called Plug and Play). This solution makes the users of such systems unnecessary to create costly monitoring systems. The V.CLOUD system provides the possibility of creating a local monitoring structure or remote communication quickly and without the need for an expensive monitoring infrastructure. In this system, it can identify the information and performance of air conditioning systems and other sub-systems of the VIDA without the need for any programming to acquire and save performance information.

Also, use data analysis (after Data Acquisition) to optimize systems at the installation site or in the test room. Similar facilities are available in a cloud space for equipment monitoring called V.CLOUD. By using the  Internet of Things or IoT technology and membership of users in this system, they will be able to access managed systems remotely. In this way, it provides them with a wide range of services including optimization, setup, monitoring, and control. In this solution, various types of user interfaces such as a display (PGDE) and color HMI (Human Machine Interface) are available with different dimensions (4.3, 7, 10 inches). The PGDE display, which has six simple control keys, is usually used to make settings quickly. This equipment is very useful when setting up and setting up different ventilation and refrigeration systems.

 

Another very powerful feature of this solution is the Web User Interface, which is loaded by default in the controller associated with these solutions. The user has access to these web pages through the TCP/IP protocol, which provides extensive facilities.
