v.VentModular series modular packaged unit controller kit (Advanced)

The advanced modular packaged controller kit is a solution with the facilities and structure required for the applications of healthcare projects. which is used in full compliance with international regulations and standards related to the use of air conditioning equipment.

Advanced modular packaged controller components

  • HVAC: full modular with the ability to select all modules according to the user’s needs in pharmaceutical and hospital projects. (Please refer to the main product catalog for more information.)
  • Condensing unit: one or two circuits include two ON/OFF scroll compressors or one BLDC compressor and two ON/OFF compressors in each circuit and one or three condenser fan groups in each circuit.

Modular packaged controller of advanced series

The application used in this kit has an attractive tree structure.   which, while being user-friendly, allows the user to make settings easily.  This product is the latest solution that is provided by KARA RAVESH SABA Company to control and used for different types of compression packaged. which is designed and developed according to the latest world standards. This controller is a complete set of operational functions along with the required hardware facilities that are offered to customers as a solution.The features of this software are such that it covers all the cooling needs of small to medium scale and its required peripheral capabilities.

Advanced v.VentModular Scroll packaged solution (Advance) is used for one or two circuits packaged.

This solution can control two ON/OFF compressors or one BLDC compressor plus one ON/OFF compressor in each circuit and one group of condenser fans in each circuit.

This solution can be used independently by managing a compression cycle (DX unit) and a maximum of one compressor as a packaged (packaged unit).

The compressor can be selected from scroll type or BLDC

For higher packaged capacities, a compression cycle controller device can be used integrated with this solution to manage the compression cycle.   Which can manage up to two compression cycle circuits in each package and one or two ON/OFF and one BLDC compressor in each circuit.

Advanced modular packaged controller in a network structure

One of the most important facilities provided by the advanced modular packaged controller is its capability for hygienic applications (with a VDI6022-1 certificate).   By activating it, the user can use its benefits. For this purpose, it has created a function based on the VDI6022-1 standard, which can be optionally activated. This process includes a scheduling table for the maintenance management of ventilation systems. Which includes 29 configurable items.   After activating the desired items and establishing the related prerequisites, this standard can be used based on the need.

Various models of an advanced modular solution

This solution has a mini model that a handling packaged with a limited number of I/O.   In the other model, the large kit is used for larger packaged with more capabilities. If the number of I/O is large, up to 4 expansion cards can be added to it.

This controller provides a wider range of ON/OFF or gradual damper management and control according to the control strategy of the HVAC section.   If the Free Cooling function is activated, the motor control of the dampers will be selected intelligently and gradually.   This solution can control up to 6 dampers, and in this sense, it offers wider possibilities than the old solutions.

Temperature control strategy

The temperature control strategy can be selected based on the point of supply, return, or exhaust to the outside of the building or room temperature. Also, the combined control strategy using the cascading algorithm provides the possibility of precise control. Each of these points where the temperature is controlled can be easily selected and adjusted by the user.  Accordingly, a sensor is installed in each of the above locations and its temperature is monitored instantly. The control system measures the temperature. Then it adjusts the temperature in that place with the closed-loop control algorithm (PID).

There are similar algorithms to control the humidity in Supply and Return or Room points. The operator can control the humidity based on each of these three points. First, the humidity sensor is installed in a place where control of humidity is important for the user.  Then the amount of humidity is measured and compared with the set value.   If the humidity level is low, the central control system sends a request to the humidifier. The type of request sent to the humidifier can be selected from ON/OFF or gradual (0 to 1  volts).

If the humidifier is chosen from the CAREL brand, it is possible to control the humidifier through serial communication by the main program in the controller.

Dehumidifier function

Another important function of this solution is dehumidification.

By activating this operator, if the humidity exceeds the set point, the dehumidification operation is performed using the cooling coil, and the dehumidification operation will continue until the humidity reaches the desired value.

Flow control

Volume flow and air quality control, are other main functions of air conditioners. For flow control in the advanced modular packaged controller kit, precise control functions are designed and can be used. Today, in the v.VentModular packaged program of the Advance model, there are various functions to control and protect its units, which increase the accuracy of the operation, protect the main and auxiliary equipment of the ventilation sector (such as fans and compressors) and increase the efficiency of energy consumption in the cycle sector. It is refrigerated.  These functions are in such a way that the user can activate or deactivate them according to his needs. This intelligence in the development of the software caused this configuration to have the necessary flexibility to control a packaged with various applications.

Energy recovery

In the air conditioning section, it is possible to control a simple Full Fresh air conditioner to an air conditioner with a return + supply fan along with an energy recovery system for both basic and advanced solutions.

If there is enough I/O (Input/output) in the hardware according to the user’s needs, several auxiliary control loops with PID control algorithm can be used and there is no need to rewrite the software. Filters monitoring section

Operating hours of the fans

The operating hours of fans, valves, compressors, and dampers are continuously calculated and monitored by the control system, and a warning is issued for the periodic service of this equipment at the specified time that specified by the user. Before starting up, all active equipment such as fans, valves, and compressors can be manually activated or deactivated for testing.

 

Ability to save final settings

List of operational and protective functions

A wide range of useful and protective functions can be selected, activated, adjusted and used in the program, some of the most important of which are introduced as follows:

  1. Air flow monitoring (Check flow switch and transmitter) in supply and return points
  2.  Compressor management
  3.  Indirect evaporative cooling
  4. – Free cooling/Free Heating operator
  5. – Energy recovery or Heat recovery, which can be selected and performed with wide equipment and various strategies.
  6.  Fan speed control based on pressure/flow-rate
  7.  Electrical protection functions for fans and compressors (Thermal Overload Alarm)
  8.  Air quality control
  9. Frost protection, which can activate and manage this function based on the thermostat, outdoor air sensor or water temperature sensor for the cooling coil or evaporator.

Ability to connect to BMS system

There are other extensive facilities in the monitoring and supervision department connecting to the BMS system. Modbus RTU and TCP/IP protocols are considered by default in v.VentModular Advance model. Therefore, to use this equipment in the building management system (BMS), these systems can be easily addressed based on a table of addresses.  One of the features offered by the Vida brand is a monitoring system that can be used ready (or so-called Plug and Play). The advanced modular packaged controller makes the operators of such systems unnecessary to create costly monitoring systems.

The V.BOSS and V.CLOUD systems provide the possibility of creating a local monitoring structure or a remote connection quickly without the need for expensive hardware infrastructure for monitoring. which can identify the information and performance of air conditioning systems and other sub-systems of the Vida brand without the need for any programming and store the resulting information.

The operator can view the performance report of these systems (trend) in the form of quality and attractive graphic diagrams and images and use it to analyze data (after Data Acquisition) to optimize the systems at the installation site.  Also, similar facilities have been designed in a cloud space for the supervision and monitoring of equipment called V.CLOUD, which by using the IoT (Internet of Things) technology and the membership of the users in the site and using the operator panel, that it is possible to access to the monitoring and managing systems remotely will have and thus provides them with a wide range of services including optimization, setup, monitoring, and control.
